weekend update, part 50 gazillion
Posted on May 12, 2008 by Zuper Zee
I’m too lazy to look up to find out how many times I’ve used the words “weekend update” for my blog posts that I just said it was the gazillionth time I’ve written it. So whatever.
- Let’s see, first of all, belated happy mommy’s day to all you hot mommas out there!
- The landscapers never showed up on Friday so we still have the ugly holly trees/bushes, but supposedly they’ll be at the house this morning tearing it all up. I’ll probably leave early today to see the progress.
- No more slime molds, YAY!
- Mother came over Saturday morning and watched my daughter play soccer (they won, 5-0!!!!!) and then we all went out to lunch and then hung out at the house where mom finally saw my daughter’s performance in the school play. All in all, it was a wonderfully pleasant day.
- I cooked dinner Saturday night only to have the neighbors show up and talk with us in the driveway before I could get my husband indoors to eat dinner. So we chatted for about 45 minutes or so. Which meant that my husband never got a chance to go shopping for mother’s day. Even though I said I didn’t want anything other than to sleep in on Sunday morning.
- I woke up early Monday morning. Go figure.
- Early like 6 am early.
- I fell back to sleep and woke up again at 7.
- and then again at 8.
- See a pattern there?
- They made me a waffle breakfast and then took me shopping.
- I got a couple of capris, a belt, a shirt, and a pair of shorts. All in all, a good day. I still want these Merrell shoes I found, so I may go back and get them next weekend.
- We took my MIL out to eat at a Japanese restaurant and ate at the hibachi grill. Meaning they cooked the meal in front of us. We hadn’t done that in a long time. My eyebrows are still singed, and my clothes? Well, that will be washed today.
- Oh yea, I was banned from washing clothes yesterday because it was Mother’s Day. Which means I have to go the laundromat today to wash them. Anyone want to contribute to my washer/dryer fund? I’m getting tired of going to the laundromat. I want my own washer and dryer. In my laundry room. Like now.
And that was my weekend wrap-up. How was yours?
